Once upon a time there was a great show on Icebox.com called "The
Hanged Man". At the series finale it was hinted that it was part of a
larger group called "The Dead Hand". Since then, however, I've found
no significant mention of either name.

Will it or anything like it ever resurface? Do the authors have a
website on which I could find out what they're up to?

Domain names that were associated with The Hanged Man but are now
apparently empty were westernlands.net and sanangelespd.com. The most
significant character in the show other than the title character was
Hugo Manes (this might help you in online searches, although it hasn't
yielded me anything).

samwise...

I looked through many of the pages for icebox.com
on the "wayback machine" internet archives, and
couldn't find any reference to "The Hanged Man"
of "The Dead Hand". Have a look for yourself:

Icebox was/is a hugely Flash-heavy site since most of its content is
Flash cartoons. It's likely that most or all of the info on Icebox
pertaining to the Hanged Man was embedded in Flash, and didn't get
archived. Everything on the show has long since been purged from the
site, and I haven't been able to wrangle comments from anyone at
Icebox.

If it helps any, here are a few random references to the show to prove
I'm not entirely imagining it:

(Note the "Hanged Man Gizmoz", which seems to be devoid of content
now.)

(Note the plug for the Hanged Man at the end of that web page.)
