We are looking for the image of the greek god Atlas kneeling down
holding up the world. This image was also used in the World's
strongest man competition in the 80's and 90's on t-shirts. We will
be using this on t-shirts as a one color imprint. Please let me know
as soon as possible because we posted this Dec. 10 and are on a
deadline. Thank you

I think if you look more towards the fitness end of the World's
strongest man competition, we will be closer to what we are looking
for.
Thank you

I haven't received any information back, so I was wondering if you
were looking in the fitness area for this image?
Thank you

Those logo's are not what I am looking for. Please reference the
older strongest man competition logo's.

I found two world's strongest man logos. One is blurry and the other
one is not detailed. Please be patient because I'm currently working
on this research. I'll post my answer when I find the clearest logo.
For the meantime, here are some links so that you know I'm on the
right track:

Hi xxxrated-ga,

Interesting question! I studied Greed Mythology when going to a
famous Art College, and am familiar with the picture of the Greek God,
Atlas kneeling down with the world on his shoulders. I'm posting this
as a clarification. If you feel the image will be satisfactory, I can
post this as your answer.

The mcshane picture with the image in the back is what I am looking
for. If you can find anything else like that, it would be great.
Thank you.

Hi again,

UhOh... I meant Greek Mythology. (Sorry about the typo!)

I haven't found anything with the McShane logo on the back.

Here’s a large world’s strongest man image at the bottom of the page
like the McShane image.

What file format would you like the logo in? And, if not in EPS,
Illustrator, or some other vector format, what pixel measurements (or
size in inches + dots per inch) do you need it?

Also, just to mention legalities, having a copy of the logo does not
legally permit you to use it for any purpose. Additionally, our
providing you a logo is not to indicate any permission we are giving
for its use.

That aside, I can provide a copy of this logo in any common format and
size you'd like. Let me know the details and I'll post a link where
you can download the file.

To be clear here: I'll be providing you a traced copy of the logo.
While I think it's of high enough quality for use to make a t-shirt,
put on a flyer, etc. it will *not* be an actual provided copy of the
logo from the creator. Before you specify the previously requested
attributes, make sure you'll be ok with a (high quality) trace of the
logo.

Clarification of Question by xxxrated-ga on 21 Dec 2002 13:35 PST
EPS format and I think it is 90 dots per sq inch. A line tracing will
be fine because we can clean it up and add other info to it.
Thanks

I was unable to get a crisp trace of the letters spelling "World's
Strongest Men" from the source documents. I do believe I know the font
(Eurostile Extended Bold) and could recreate the logo, but I only have
that font at work.

As you mentioned your approaching deadline, and in the interest of
speed, I offer you an EPS of the logo (at 90 dots per inch, 7 inches
wide by 10 inches tall) without the words. Depending on what you're
using this for, or if you have Eurostile Extended Bold, this may
satisfy you.

If it doesn't, and you need the words in the circle (or if you have
size or other tweaks you need), let me know and I'll be able to
complete the task for you Monday.

The EPS of the logo is available for download (a 3MB file) from my
site:
http://www.geeklife.com/images/Dec02/atlas.eps

Again, if you need anything else (words, different size, colors,
vector version, etc.), let me know.

Internet Explorer has an odd bug where it renames the files with a
"ps" extension upon downloading them. You'll need to rename the file
.eps for it to function as a valid EPS file in Windows. I don't
believe there is a problem with Macintosh or non-IE downloads.

Clarification of Answer by davebug-ga on 23 Dec 2002 17:34 PST
I'm still waiting to hear if the provided file satisfied your needs.
Let me know (by clarifying or by rating this answer), though I won't
be back in the office till Thursday.
