I am looking for a step by step description of how a typical American
home was built during the first half of the nineteenth century
(1800-1850), including procedures, techniques, tools and materials.
Thank you.

Hi tolstoy-

The same questions that I posted on your question on farm house
construction would apply here, too, since there is really no "typical"
American home in the early 1800s.

If you can specify a region (city, portion of state) or a type of
construction, we can supply you with detailed information.
