I'm having a problem with Internet Explorer, ver. 6. When I attempt
to reinstall it I receive a message that it is already installed and
cannot be installed again. How can I install the program again? |

What operating system are you using? Windows 98, 2000, XP? There are
ways around this problem but they vary depending on your operating
system.

Hi,
Control Panel > Add/remove programs > Add/remove Windows components
Un-check Internet Explorer. After the process is over, reboot if
Windows asks you to reboot. Then, go to the same location and check
the box this time. Window may ask for the installation CD and
re-install IE.
Hope this works out for you,
warm regards

I have not succeeded in uninstalling Internet Explorer. Tried to do
so, but it refuses to be uninstalled through Control Panel uninstall.
I use Windows 2000.

Hello,
Is that Windows 2000 SR1 or 2000 SR2? As the solution removes IE 6
from SR1 leaving the shell integration, but unfortunately does not
work with SR2.
kind regards
