Hi. I have listed below what I have been able to find. If this isn't quite what you were looking for, please request a clarification. I may be able to find better maps if you can narrow down the area you're looking for, or even just the type of features or detail level. Thanks! - sparky4ca-ga National Geographic has some world ocean floor maps, as well as more detailed Atlantic and Pacific maps available for sale: http://www.trailsillustrated.com/acb/showprod.cfm?&DID=15&CATID=3&ObjectGroup_ID=42 At this site are some close-ups of the National Geographic World Physical map, which shows just how much ocean floor detail that map has: http://www.mindbird.com/world_maps_and_globes.htm Heres a map of the world oceans: http://www.crcss.csiro.au/spin/spin78/SPIN7810.htm US Coastal seabed maps: http://kai.er.usgs.gov/regional/contusa/index.html Many ocean maps, including some of the ocean floor: http://www.lib.utexas.edu/maps/polar.html Maps of the ocean bottoms, but no lat/long.: http://www.mapquest.com/atlas/?region=oceans Some links that may be of use: http://www.ngdc.noaa.gov/mgg/announcements/announce_predict.html Promising links: http://www.signalsofspring.com/links_sub.cfm?team=Bathymetry Some limited area maps: http://www.mbari.org/data/mapping/mapping.htm Still no coordinates, though: http://www.ngdc.noaa.gov/mgg/image/relief_slides2.html although this one does tell you the block of coordinates you are looking at http://www.ngdc.noaa.gov/mgg/image/2minrelief.html Links from Ifremer: http://www.ifremer.fr/drogm_uk/Realisation/carto/index.html General info and links: http://www.bigelow.org/virtual/bath_sub1.html More links: http://topex.ucsd.edu/marine_topo/mar_topo.html Good links: http://www.ngdc.noaa.gov/mgg/ Some great maps, but no lat./long. http://www.ngdc.noaa.gov/mgg/aboutmgg/oceanmapping.html 20,000 mapping licks: http://oddens.geog.uu.nl/index.html General info: http://www.mos.org/oceans/planet/features.html Lots of links: http://seawifs.gsfc.nasa.gov/OCEAN_PLANET/HTML/ocean_planet_resource_room.html Many links here: http://www.lib.berkeley.edu/EART/digital/nautic.html Some maps, but not great quality or readability: http://www.ifremer.fr/drogm_uk/Realisation/carto/Carto/index.html Some general info at my governments mapping site: http://www.charts.gc.ca/chs/en/ Search strategies: Google.ca Maps ocean bottom bathymetric maps bathymetric maps ocean latitude seafloor maps world ocean seabed maps ocean floor features maps askjeeves.com where can I find maps of the ocean floor? |
