Why - If AC is not removed immediatly after shutdown, Soyo SY-K7VTA will not powerup? Wait 5 min, 1hr, 1 day, several days depending on start responce, it finally responds. This started on first power down and continues after changing power supplies (200Watt, 350Watt, 450Watt) 3 times. Reboots fine on shutdown reboot, also if power (AC) is cut immediatly after shutdown (fan stops). | |

Hi there gedyolf - sounds very like a problem with the board itself. One thing you might want to check is that the clear CMOS jumper is correctly set - I've seen in the past that this can stop ATX boards powering up. --seizer-ga |

I have the exact same problem with a IBM PS/2 Server,It baffled me for days why the power cord had to be removed and put back in and then randomly it would boot up then never boot again.( I was sure it was something to do with the power cord no jokes nothing made sense) The problem was the CPU was loose in the socket, with a quick wiggle of the CPU it started faultlessly every since. May be worth a look in this area. |
