Dear Zorple (Nigel)
As you have discovered, if you type a Google search of "nigel hey"
"solar system" you do not reach your site. This is because your site's
design is preventing Google from indexing all of your site. This can
be shown by using this search term to find Nigel anywhere on
www.nigelhey.com:
nigel site:www.nigelhey.com
You will see Google comes back will a nil answer.
However, nigelhey "solar system" will find your site as google has
indexed your site name and 'solar system' which is an alt tag on one
of your navigation images on the home page.

Also the search term "nigelhey" book will find the site's home page.

You need to make the site more Google friendly. First you have a
splash page and then http://www.nigelhey.com/home.html is all images.
Although Google has identified all the alt tags you need to consider
putting text for Nigel Hey on this page, perhaps as link to the author
page.
Google hasn't got past your home page for indexing because it then
goes into frames. If it had, on http://www.nigelhey.com/ss_book.html
Nigel Hey is not mentioned in text. Not even in the alt tag for the
link to the author page.
Why hasn't Google hasn't indexed it properly? Google sometimes has
problems with frames and will go only so far into a frames based site,
also they limit the amount of dynamic pages they index.
Have a look at their guideline for webmasters:

Your site only needs a little re-designing and on the next Google
index your book should appear in searches.
Please ask for clarification of this answer, or if the links do not
work, before rating the answer.
