I want to find out about renting a ski chalet in the French Alps for
the whole of the 2003/ 2004 ski season. I want to use the chalet to
cater for paying guests and therefore it must be available for
commercial purposes. I am looking for links to agents in France or
agents who deal with properties in France. Ideally I am looking for
chalets that have between 12 and 16 beds. I am having no luck in
finding out any of this
information. Can you help me?

Where do I need to look for information relating to starting up a
catered ski chalet business in the French Alps for the 2003/ 2004 ski
season? Primarily where should I look to find out information on
renting a 10 to 16 bed chalet for the 2003/ 2004 season that is
available for commercial purposes?

Hi. I've looked around some, and can't really seem to locate anything
that fits your needs. Most chalets will sleep 4, 6 and up to 8 people
- it is very difficult to find one as large as you are seeking. Also,
most such small establishments are privately operated and it is far
more commercially advantageous for the owners to rent out beds to
individual customers rather than to rent the property out to you and
allow you to haul in the "big money..."

It seems to me that finding a place to buy may be far simpler. In any
event, it seems that the way to go is to locate some local real estate
agents who would have access to much, much more than is available
online - whether to rent or to buy.

Would you like me to locate some local real estate offices that could
then proceed to assist you? btw, do you speak french? It may be
quite difficult to do business out there if you don't.

thanks,
ragingacademic
