When my copmputer is connected to DSL and I attempt to use a browser (Internet Explorer or Netscape) or download my email (Outlook Express), the computer hangs completely. Control Alt Del doesn't even work. This does not occur when I am using a dial-up connection. What is the solution for this problem. | |

If your DSL modem is connected with ethernet (looks like a "wide" phone connector), your problem seems to be within the ethernet board (either an add-o card or as part of your mainboard). Try to alter the setting for this device and/or reinstall the driver for the network adapter. Regards, Sky |

Go into safe mode , uninstall/remove the networkcard, shutdown, open case, remove the nic if its not on-board. Restart the computer, shutdown, retart for another 1 or 2 times. Install NIC in another PCI slot and reconfigure your DSL/IP settings. I hope this will resolve the issue |
