I've found a brief memorial notice for Meredith; can check a little
further but there appears to be no obituary for her at the time of
death. Her father's death in 1981 did occasion a larger story and
picture; copyright will prevent us from doing more than letting you
know how to find it.

Let me know if the information is sufficient without the picture.

Best regards,

Using this link to answer omnivourous-GA clarification to my inquiry
about Meredith.
Understand if there is no obituary for Meredith in New York Times.
Can you find a picture from 1955 Vassar yearbook? or show me link to
it. All further information and links concerning Meredith and her
father appreciated, but will accept your best effort.

Penpenpen --

Meredith Zaretzki Blinder died at age 35 on Jan. 28, 1974 in New York
of ulcertative ileitis, according to the NY Times obituary that ran on
Jan. 29.

She was married to Judge Albert A. Blinder, NY Court of Claims, and
left behind a son. Her father was Joseph Zaretzki, then a NY State
Senator representing Manhattan.

She had attended Riverdale Country Schoool for Girls and Vassar
College. No picture accompanied the obituary, no have I been able to
find any for the yearbook. Copyright issues often block publication
of old yearbooks.

Meredith was an only child. Her father was involved in a heated
battle for his senate seat later that year and lost. Later he became
New York's County Clerk and the NY Times has a feature story on him
May 9, 1977, p. 35.

He died Dec. 20, 1981 and was believed to be 80 at the time of his
death. An extensive obituary ran for him on Dec. 21, 1981 in the NY
Times, including a picture.

Should you wish to see any of these items, public libraries often have
access to the NY Times online via a service called Proquest Historical
newspapers. That's what I used to find these references.

In checking for the Vassar College information, my Google search
strategy was:
"Vassar College" + 1955 + graduates
