I would like to read any/all cnsumer ratings for all in one
combination washer/dryers - sometimes referred to as clothes
processors. The machine both washes and then dries ventlessly.  These
appliances are ideal for small spaces and for spaces where dryers
cannot be vented outside.  I would like an unbiased rating for each
brand with information regarding performance, reliablilty, and energy
use. I am looking for the type of consumer information found in
magazines like Consumer Reports and Consumer Digest. I found shopping
information on Equator, Haier and LG at

Consumer Reports has buying guides to washing machines and clothes
dryers that mention combination washer/dryers ("laundry centers"). 
The ratings are by subscription only, so you can either look in your
library for the July 2002 issue or subscribe online in order to find
out if laundry centers are rated.

picks "based solely on a product's merits" -- reviews the Equator EZ
3600CEE among its picks for clothes washers.

Likewise, ConsumerSearch gives a top rating to the Equator EZ 3600CEE,
based on other reviews.  It also notes that Which? Online ( a
subscriber publication at http://www.which.net/ ), as well as Consumer
Guide and Netmarket (which does not seem like it has the kind of
ratings you're interested in), have reviewed combination
washer/dryers.

another good reference source for appliances. Reviews are written by
users of the products. Although Epinions accepts advertising, the
reviews are not biased; occasionally a really scathing review of a
product will appear on the same page as an ad for a vendor of that
product. Epinions also has a price-comparison feature which is quite
useful.
