Looking for information on managing a bond portfolio/fixed income internally instead of hiring someone like Vanguard, PIMCO, etc. to manage a bond portfolio externally. Why or why not should one consider doing it? Answer would be good to include pros and cons and instances of bad things and good things that could arise from internally managing bonds/fixed income. Constuction of portfolios (sector/security selection) not as important as structure of personnel, compliance issues, ethics issues, etc. | |
