Jesus christ the saviour 
or santa claus and his reindeer,
somebody someday will ask,
"do you believe"?

Pause briefly and tell that person:
I believe in the spirit of christmas.
The family, the friends,
the hopes, the dreams, the food, the fun,
the giving, the recieving.
A frosty morning,
and a warm fire.
Gramma in the kitchen and cookie crumbs on the table.

Explain that it is not what is said or done,
given or recieved,
it is a feeling in your heart.
The love, the peace,
and the strength of your family.
It is a moment that will last forever.

And then as that someone pauses to relish
your answer,
Wish them a very merry christmas.
