For over six months I have been "adding" my perfectly decent Webcam
site to Earthcam.com. To date they have NEVER answered an e-mail or a
submission. Why is this? Why would ANYONE be so rude and ignorant? Why
not just say "sod off" or "not today thank you". All I want is my
little webcam view to be seen by the world and universe. I look
forward to
your answer

Have you followed all of the steps listed here?

"Adding a Camsite"
EarthCam
http://www.earthcam.com/company/adding.html

If this page answers your question, I'd be happy to post it as an
answer. But if not, describing the precise steps that you've taken
(how, when, etc.) in submitting your site and contacting EarthCam
would be helpful to the Researchers.

Hi, I've followed their steps, my steps and even the pop group Steps.
All to no avail! This is the link I follow, straight from any Earthcam
page. Then when nothing happens within a couple of weeks I send an
e-mail via the "contact Us" route. I've submitted about once a month
for the last year and e-mailed about 25times. the link >

Sorry, I should have added the camera site link as that may be odd to Earthcam

The link> http://orac.mine.nu

Hello oraccomp,

What internet service provider do you use? What did you put in the
subject line of your emails?

I ask this because I was busy sending off emails to a friend of mine
and half of them were being catergorized as spam mail by their
internet service provider and didn't get through.

Hi there,

I can think of two ouside possibilities:

1) Did you submit the URL as http://orac.mine.nu/view/view.shtml -
their guidelines say you need to submit the exact URL.

2) Your webcam page has a META tag saying that the content expired in
1980. Seeing as Earthcam also use a spider to locate cams, it is
possible they use the same software for submitted sites, and, being a
spider, it might take your META tag literally.
