Woman is playing pool with 3 guys; theres a song in background where
singer is saying "ohhh....to catch a thief....to catch a thief..." or
something to that effect. It is a smooth, lounge-type song. I would
like to know the song name. Thanks!

Bobbie-7, it appears that this is the ad. Only thing is, Tessa
Langmead is the model in the ad, not the artist of the song, and I
can't tell what"One thing and another." is. Maybe ad title?

Bailey's Irish Cream
2000
Tessa Langmead <----Model name...
One Thing and Another <----can't tell if this is a song or not?....

Jugger,

Here it says that Tessa Langmead is the artist and "One thing and
another is the song."

At UK Television Adverts they state the same.

bobbie7;

Yes, that site does state that, but I did a search on Tessa Langmead,
and what came back were pictures of the woman who was in the ad, and
the links I saw said she was a model. It is possible she is the singer
and model I suppose. I'm not convinced...YET. Thanks for the work,
though.

I found this bit of information at a Google Newsgroup Posting
http://groups.google.com/groups?q=Bailey+pool+advert&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&selm=83rkb8%245b5%241%40plutonium.btinternet.com&rnum=6

"The Ad is for Bailey's Irish Cream.
The song is "One way or another" By Blondie
The woman is playing pool and one of the men drinks her drink
she kisses each one in turn to find which man tastes of baileys.
BTW the woman is gorgeous!!!!
Sorry don't have the LYR."

What do you think?

At the Answer Bank I found this posting:

Bailey's music:
"There was an advert a couple of years ago for Baileys with a blond
haired girl kissing three men to guess who had taken her drink. does
anyone know the song in that advert? "

"Its a Deborah Harry song, I think its called "One Way or Another"
Sally Tue 25/6/2002 "

2It was 'Blondie' who released the track in the very early eighties.
Debbie Harry was lead singer.

bobby7, you've found some great stuff on my question. I'm going to go
ahead and pay you, but here's what I think has happened--you've done a
fabulous job of finding the uk version information, but I still don't
know the song for the US version! I know the Blondie song "one way or
another" and that would be a fitting song for the ad, but maybe they
used that in the UK version of the ad, because it is NOT the one used
in the US version. Another $5 is in it if you can find the US version
where the singer is saying ...to catch a thief...to catch a thief..."
Thanks again for your work on this.
