I am looking for a retail outlet where I can purchase (via internet,
mail-order, anything other than flying to Japan) Japanese-style bikini
swimwear. It is make by several swimwear manufacturers: Speedo, Arena,
Oasics. The fit and cut of the suit is very different (more brief)
than the typical suits these companies offer in the US and elsewhere
in the world. If you are unfamiliar with this type of swimsuit, I have
found a few sample pictures and placed them in an album at

Hello speedo_workout-ga,

I’ve seen lots and lots of men in tiny swimsuits (which was kind of
fun ;-) ), but I don’t think any are quite as tiny as the one’s in
your pictures. Because of that, I am not listing this as the answer.
Take a look at what I’ve found, if it you consider these results as an
acceptable answer, let me know and I’ll post the answer including my
search terms and any other information that I have. Otherwise,
perhaps another researcher will have better luck.

Thanks,
Googlenut

I'm sorry. I never even though about getting a reply offering other
skimpy-style bikini swimwear (easily available in the US or on the
web). I already know just about every web site offering these. The
eBay example you gave is definitely right. I believe almost all the
Japanese-style swimsuits I'm referring to are made by the
manufacturers I mentioned (Speedo, Arena, Oasics).

The style and cut is different than other skimpy suits around. They
are extremely low-cut. I could provide more example pictures where the
backside is actually half exposed and the front is just barely
covered. (That's how low-cut they are.) As you saw from the prices on
eBay, these suits are so hard to find, they sell for a LOT of money
here in the US. That's why I'd like to find an outlet where I can
purchase them regularly at retail prices. I know a suit shows up once
in a while on eBay. I'm looking for a dependable supplier rather than
a one-time purchase. There has to be a retailer in Japan who has a web
site or mail-order catalog but I just haven't been able to find one.

Sorry if I'm sounding too picky but as I said, I've already checked
out most swimwear outlets online and have not been able to find a
steady supplier for this style of suit (thus my Google question).

Hello speedo_workout-ga,

I’ve found a Japanese vendor that seems to have the Speedo swimsuits
you’re looking for. The site has an online shop. The only drawback is
that it’s all in Japanese. You will have to find someone to translate
it for you so you can order the appropriate merchandise. Would this
site be a satisfactory answer? Thanks.

Not really since I don't speak Japanese or know anyone who does speak
Japanese. I wouldn't even know what web site I was looking at let
alone be able to accomplish what I was seeking with my original
question. I've researched this myself online for over a year
unsuccessfully. It appears I'm not going to get much more help here
than I had on my own. Thanks anyway.
