Hi jmulqueeney,
After searching for an answer to your request, I contacted San Mateo
High School and asked them what they knew about any class of '83
20-year reunion. I've received a reply from the Main Office and would
like to know if this reply would suffice as an answer for you (however
vague it may appear) :) Let me know what you decide. Thanks!
Happy holidays,

Is the response from the Main office "There is no answer at this
time"? Or is that the Google default answer until the reply get's
posted? If the reply isn't posted yet, then I'm sure the whatever
they came back to you with would be fine for answering my question.
Thanks. ....Jack

Hi jmulqueeney,
The default reply you saw was from Google Answers, not me. You will
see that until your question is actually answered by a researcher.
Then, if I'm not mistaken, you will get a notice that your question
has been answered, once it has been answered by a researcher. I hope
my explanation wasn't confusing :)
Just to clarify, the email response I received from the high school
will be sufficient for me to post as the answer?
Happy holidays,

Hi Jack,

As I mentioned before, I contacted San Mateo High School and received
this reply from the Main Office:
"I received your email regarding reunion information about the Class
of 1983. I have no information regarding this particular class. In
October 2002, SMHS had a 100 year centennial celebration which
included all classes for the last 100 years. Many classes held
individual reunions during this 3 day weekend event. As far as I can
tell, 1983 did not have any individual party nor do I see that any
event is in the planning stages. We here at the school only know about
reunions if we are contacted by the individual planning committees.
Main Office, San Mateo High School."
'The San Mateo High School Website'
http://www.smuhsd.k12.ca.us/smhs/home.html

I am a co-host for my old high school's alumni website and through
this site, we arrange get-togethers and yearly reunions. Old scholars
have found us, and our website, by doing a search for the school.

I searched for San Mateo High School and found that alumni.net has
your school listed:
http://www.alumni.net/North_America/United_States_of_America/California/San_Mateo/San_Mateo_High_School/
To access the site, you need to register which is free. There are
bulletin boards there where you will be able to post messages
pertaining to any forthcoming reunions.

This website will undoubtedly interest you:

Found on the home page -
***View the Alumni List
You can search the entire Alumni List, and update or detail your own
record here.
***Add Yourself to the Alumni List
Not on the list yet? This is the place to get instantly added to the
database.

Another site is 'High School Reunions Online"
http://www.reunionsworld.com/
"...the web site dedicated to keeping friends connected. Our services
provide you the opportunity to keep in touch with high school friends
and classmates long after graduation and reunions."

At 'Classmates' there are 5243 alumni listed for San Mateo High
School.

Another alumni directory is 'Schoolnews.com'
http://www.schoolnews.com/

One more option would be to contact former classmates and find out
what they know about a reunion. Whatever you decide to do, I hope you
are able to get in touch with your high school and enjoy a rememorable
reunion. I know first-hand, nothing quite compares with the reuniting
of friends from our high school days.

If you have any questions regarding my answer please don't hesitate to
ask before rating.
Best of luck and Happy Holidays!
rainbow~
