I am trying to sell a family-owned restaurant in south Georgia and am looking for suggestions to help sell it. The restaurant has been on the market for the past year and we have tried using local brokers but have not had any luck even after reducing the price. We are also advertising locally in the newspaper. The restaurant is doing excellent business currently so there are no issue with that, I am just looking to retire. I know that there are several Internet sites that allow you to sell your business but I was wondering which one is the most effective or if you would even recommend that avenue? |

You might want to try listing it on www.hotel-online.com ; a web site for hotel and restaurant professionals. Each day subscribers get an email with the 'daily news' and I know that lots of us check this site each and every day as part of our routine. You might also want to try posting the information with some regional Universities or Colleges that offer Hotel/Restaurant management. Students, professors, etc. might be interested. You should try the University of Georgia and Johnson & Wales University, the Miami campus, at www.jwu.edu. Good luck! |
