Hi sanders:

I can show you how to find a list of quarries within 100 miles of (the
center of) New York City. (My searches show there are 40 in that
area.)

Would that be sufficient?

Thanks.

I can accept a 100 mile radius of NYC, but would prefer up to 150 miles.

Hi sanders:

Thanks for the clarification.

The best place to find a specific type of business within a specific
distance of a place is to use one of the several excellent online
"yellow pages" websites - many of which feature a "distance from"
feature. Unfortunately, they all seem to cut off at 100 miles.

For example, if you go to the "Search by Distance" page at
superpages.com

http://yp111.superpages.com/dsearch.phtml?SRC=&STYPE=D&C=&N=&RT=new%20york%20&RS=NY&rtd=yp109.superpages.com-114800

and enter

Category: quarries
Search Within: 100 Miles Of
City: New York
State: NY

you will be presented with a list of 39 companies. Each listing has
the address, phone number, and distance from NYC as well as links to
maps and driving directions.

The links for the listing pages - in case you have trouble finding
them - are:

Page 1:
http://yp111.superpages.com/listings.phtml?SRC=&STYPE=D&PG=L&RLO=&RLT=&CB=&C=quarries&N=&RR=100&AL=&RE=&RT=New+York+&RS=NY&RZ=&R=D&search=Find+It

Page 2:
http://yp111.superpages.com/listings.phtml?CID=&RR=100&C=quarries&PG=L&RT=New+York+&RLT=40780830&RLO=73978855&RS=NY&STYPE=D&R=D&AL=&PM=00000000&LC=&MC=&NA=&GL=&CB=&FN=&PP=&SCID=&paging=1&PI=16

Page 3:
http://yp111.superpages.com/listings.phtml?CID=&RR=100&C=quarries&PG=L&RT=New+York+&RLT=40780830&RLO=73978855&RS=NY&STYPE=D&R=D&AL=&PM=00000000&LC=&MC=&NA=&GL=&CB=&FN=&PP=&SCID=&paging=1&PI=31

Now, to get other quarries in the 100 - 200 mile "zone", I would
suggest picking a couple of cities that are near the 100 mile distance
from NYC and then finding quarries within 100 miles of these new
cities. You will get certain "duplicates" from your original listing,
but should get new companies as well.

For example, if we pick Allentown, PA, then we find that there are 71
quarries within 100 miles.

http://yp103.superpages.com/listings.phtml?SRC=&STYPE=D&PG=L&RLO=&RLT=&CB=&C=quarries&N=&RR=100&AL=&RE=&RT=Allentown&RS=PA&RZ=&R=D&search=Find+It&rtd=yp111.superpages.com-115421

Other that you could try this with are:

Glassboro, NH
Dunmore, PA
Kingston, NY
Hartford, CT

Picking all 5 should get you a pretty comprehensive list!

I hope that this information has been of help in your search.
