I need to know the percentage of ideas being generated by employees in
American business (as opposed to outsiders, suppliers, customers).

I believe today's business innovations (new products, services, fresh
techniques and procedures for running the business more efficiently,
etc.) are coming mostly from employees - that is, from within the
company and not from consultants and others outside the company. I
read somewhere that the percentage is very, very high. But I can't
remember where I saw that figure. Can you help me, please?

Dear goog1321-ga;

Thank you for allowing me an opportunity to answer your interesting
question.

The Employee Involvement Association (EIA), formerly the Chicago based
“National Association of Suggestion Systems” (NASS) indicate that the
adoption rate of employee suggestions is 37 percent. This figure
reflects the percentage of high-quality employee suggestions that can
impact businesses' major bottom line efficiencies.

You will note that the EIA link is very slow if functional at all by
the time this is posted as they are undergoing some site construction,
but the CEO REFRESHER site I listed for you has excerpts by Freda
Turner, Ph.D. that support my findings.

I hope you find that that my research exceeds your expectations. If
you have any questions about my research please post a clarification
request prior to rating the answer. Otherwise, I welcome your rating
and your final comments and I look forward to working with you again
in the near future. Thank you for using Google Answers.

Best regards;
Tutuzdad-ga

Clearly some bosses listen to opinions of the people they supervises
and get ideas from other supervisers who may have gotton them from
people they supervise. Often the idea needs adapting and the final
result may little resemble the original suggestion, weather from
casual conversation or in the form of a formal written employee
suggestion. I suspect 37% is high, but employees play an important
roll in making the policies of some businesses. Most ideas are
conceived repeatedly before they find extensive utilization. Neil
