I would like to know the origin of the Charlotte Hornets team name and the team colors. How was the "hornets" chosen? Who was involved? What other names made it to the final selection? How were finalists identified and then the final name chosen? Also, how did the team choose teal and purple as team colors. Did they represnt some qualities? Were other colors considered? Finally how much say did the NBA haev with these decisions? How much say will they have if Charlotte gets another team. |
