How many layers of muscle are in the rectus adominal muscles?

It appears that the rectus abdominus is defined as a layer of muscle.
I can provide an answer on the number of layers of abdominal muscles
in general. Would that meet your needs?

Or perhaps you are thinking of the sheath that covers the rectus
abdominus. Would you like information on the sheath instead?

Thank you Scott - yes I would like the "number of layers of abdominal
muscles in general."

crunchybun,

Thank you for your question. There are three layers of abdominal
muscles: The external oblique, the internal oblique and the
transversus abdominis, supplemented in front, on each side, by rectus
abdominis.

I hope you have found the above information helpful. If you need any
additional clarification, please let me know.

Regards,

-THV
