I want to find an article with detailed analysis in the use and
results of the general electric multifactor model - for the downstream
oil industry, in particulary - but a good, heavy analysis on the
results and how to allocate capital is desired. The model is used to
prioritize markets, classify, and allocate capital.

Daveresearch --

I've done an extensive search for a case study using the GE/McKinsey
multifactor analysis and have found none. Beyond an Internet search,
I've also checked into several fee-based research services including
Expanded Academic ASAP and Infotrac.

Here's what we can identify for you:
* 1 book that treats the topic, including details on the GE model
* two journal articles that cover it
* one detailed web description of the GE analysis model
* a pair of case studies that put describe GE's strategic
decision-making but probably have limited descriptions of quantitative
aspects of the multi-factor model

There's also at least one person who would come highly recommended as
a source for further research.

Please let me know if this would be adequate as an answer.

Best regards,

Omnivorous-GA
