I've searched and searched, but I can't find a steady source for
Nielsen ratings comparing the amount of viewers for cable news channel
shows such as Crossfire, Donahue, Larry King, O'Reilly, etc. on MSNBC,
CNN, Fox, etc.
Of course, there are occasional news stories that mention those
ratings, but I haven't been able to find a steady source. Nielsen
doesn't offer this on their own site
(http://www.nielsenmedia.com/FAQ/index.html)
I don't mind paying for those ratings as long as it's a nominal
subscription fee for a trade journal site or something like that. I'm
not looking for the ratings for business purposes, so I'm not willing
to spend a large amount for the ratings.

I've searched far and wide, and I don't believe you can find what you
are seeking - for free - in a consistent manner. However, I've found
some interesting sources of Nielsen Ratings that rank, for example,
the most-watched cable and network news shows. The shows you mention
show up when they reach the top - otherwise, you won't see their
ratings.
In summary, I have three sources of information which will provide you
with some of what you are seeking, but not all of it - some of the
data is updated monthly, while some seems to be updated sporadically.
Let me know if you are interested in the results of my research and
I'll post as an answer.
Thanks!
Respectfully,
