I need a list of the number of registered reps, by broker/dealer, in
the U.S. for 2001 or 2002. This list must include not just members of
the SIA but all registered reps, including those who are from
insurance companies.

A registered rep is a representative of a broker/dealer who is
registered with the Securities and Exchange comission, and therefore
can legally sell securities on behalf of the firm they represent.
Typically, they have taken a Series 7 certification exam.
