I bought an electronic gadget at a surplus website(sciplus). After
removing it's guts and adding a few parts I created a great product. My
question is-Can you find the original maker(probably taiwan or china)
of this abandonded product?

Dear wishbone,

It would be very helpful for us if you could provide us some
information about the device: What it looks like, what it is called
etc. At the moment, we only know that it is something electronic, and
that is not very much to start research.

Regards,
Scriptor

Dear Scriptor,Thanks for giving my question your time.I got this
device at sciplus.com.It is item #33597 called light sensor alarm. It
consists of one black box the size of a beeper. This is a light
sensitve sending unit.It says"mail alarm" on the front. This is
supposed to be put in your mailbox. If you take it apart it
says"primall matx" on the circuit board. The second part is a
recieving unit the size of a bedside elecric clock. It sends a alarm
when the sender senses light. It says "mail alarm" on the front and
"made in china" on the back. The onl name on the inside is "pml marx"
on the circuit board.Thats it.Thanks-Wishbone

Dear Bio,Thanks for your interest in my question.I looked inside and
out but couldn't find an FCC #.I wish it did because you have a great
idea. There are no other markings on it other than those already
listed.It's a tough question so I'm adding a $10 tip for the
researcher who finds the maker of this.

What are the markings on it? If any?
