Dear veteran-ga;

Thank you for allowing me an opportunity to answer your interesting
question.

I have compiled an extensive list of sources for obtaining insurance
quotes for you below. Most of them are free and many of them return
instance quotes according to the type and amount of coverage you need.
In some instances you may be required to register, which is also free,
in order to pass along personal data such as gender, age, physical
history, etc.

I suggest you start some type of file, either a spreadsheet or a
handwritten document, which lists the features of each company that
appeals to you. After you feel that you have a sufficient number of
sources to work with, begin narrowing the companies and policies down
to approximately ten. This will make your comparison-shopping among
the remaining companies much easier. Don’t discount the possibility of
negotiating with an insurance company either. Don’t hesitate to let
the agents that you contact know if one of their competitors happens
to be offering decent policy that is not as expensive as theirs. They
may give you some free advice by telling you that you should buy the
policy that has been offered to you, or they may drop their own
premiums a bit just to get your business. Either way you’ll come out
on top.

I hope you find that that my research exceeds your expectations. If
you have any questions about my research please post a clarification
request prior to rating the answer. Otherwise, I welcome your rating
and your final comments and I look forward to working with you again
in the near future. Thank you for using Google Answers.

Best regards;

Dear veteran-ga;

I'd love to be able to provide that information for you, unfortunately
most companies base their insurance rates and amounts of coverage
based on the individual's current and past health condition, physical
stature, gender, age, personal habits, number of members covered by
the policy, locations, profession and many more details that I you
will have to provide them with yourself.

The "shortcut" you are seeking for lies in the ability to access all
these sites from the privacy of your home at your leisure, rather than
calling around all over the country and spending hours on the
telephone; but I'm sorry to say that you still have visit the sites,
fill out the questionaires and put forth a bit of effort in order to
find the policy that you feel is "the best deal".

Good luck;
