I am trying to find out information about a unit I was in during the
Viet Nam war.  It is the 510th engineer detachment under USAECAV.  We
were based out of Can Tho South Viet Nam, we worked all over the
Makong Delta. I am looking for the history of the unit or any
information about it.

Was the 510th originally out of Ft Benning GA or Ft Leonard Wood MO?
Was it originally known as the 510th Engineer Company (US Army)?
