Jon Frankel, a Syracuse University graduate, where he played football,
with degrees in broadcast journalism and political science, is the
national news correspondent for The Early Show. Prior to this
assignment, he worked as a general assignment correstpondent for ABC
and as the substitute anchor for "World News Now"
Before coming to ABC in 1998, Frankel worked with NBC as a
correspondent for the "Today" show, as sports anchor for WNBC in New
York, WLPG in Miami and WPEC in West Palm Beach, FL. He has also
worked for NFL Films and as associate producer for Bob Costas' radio
show.
Frankel lives in New York and participates in Ironman competitions.
