In the late 19th &/or early 20th century there was an organization known as the N.W.L.A.--possibly a labor-related or insurance-benefit society for Norwegian-Americans-- which had as its emblem a square formed by four clasped hands, representing the states of Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota. Within the square was the word "Union." Please identify. |
