Hi,

The Kia Spectra dashboard, as near as I can tell through my research,
is similar to the older Kias, just a bit more fancy. According to the
nice folks at carsterohelp.com, removal of the stereo involves prying
up the trim panel around the stereo, removing the four screws that
hold the stock stereo in place, and pulling the stereo from the dash,
making sure to remove the connectors and the antenna cord. They have
some visual aids here:

Sportage, closest match to yours]

slightly different model]

When you replace the stereo, you may need installation kits to seat a
new stereo in the dash properly. These can be gotten at any number of
online sales outlets, or from a local stereo store. One such example
is this one, available at Spy Supply

Kia's phone number in the US 1-800-333-4542

I hope this answeras your question and helps you get your stereo out
safely and easily. Thanks for writing.

Sincerely

Hello nikki8299-ga,

Is that a hatchback or sedan?

If it is a hatchback, then you can find out here
(http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S-hMN4l4xT8jX/AutoInfo/Receivers.asp?id=13912)

If it is a sedan, then you can find out here
(http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S-hMN4l4xT8jX/AutoInfo/Receivers.asp?id=14007)

It looks like you have your work "cut out" for you (pun intended) :-)

Hope this helps and have a great day!

I'm not sure the information is readily available online. If need be,
you can find sources for repair manuals with this search:

Best wishes!
