The information I have seen is that, at least as of recently, Donna is
still alive. Researchers for Google Answers cannot provide personal
information about private individuals. I can, however, point you to a
source where you can see Donna talking about Ritchie Valens. Would
this be a sufficient answer?

Hello motormax-ga,

On the DVD for La Bamba, there is a short "featurette" called
"Remembering Ritchie". As one review (among others) observes, the
featurette is worth watching for "what the real Donna Ludwig has to
say about Ritchie Valens."

I have also seen a reference that indicates that she was interviewed
for the VH1 special "Behind the Music: The Day the Music Died".

I used combinations of the following search terms on Google and Google
Groups:

valens
donna
"donna ludwig"
dvd
"remembering ritchie"
