Grnmchn,

The Illinois Office of the Secretary of State is the organization that
incorporates businesses based in the city of Chicago. Their web site
does not advertise the type of listing that you are looking for. I
will call them tomorrow at 8am when their offices open and hopefully
I'll be able to provide you with an answer at that time.

Hi Grnmchn,

The information that you are looking for is available as both a weekly
and monthly subscription.

The listing is for the entire state of Illinois and this will include
the Chicago businesses that you are looking for.

The monthly listing is available for $180/yr and it is mailed out in
the 2nd week of the month for incorporations that took place in the
prior month.

The weekly listing is actually a set of daily incorporation lists that
is mailed out weekly. The cost for this service is $318/yr.

To subscribe to these lists, contact Linda Akers at the Springfield
Office of the Secretary of State.

You can order over the phone by credit card for an extra 50 cents:
217-782-6875.

Or you can send a letter with payment to:

Office of the Secretary of State
Room 330
Howlett Building
Springfield IL, 62756
ATTN: Linda Akers

In addition to these two lists, an annual CD is published in May/June
which contains information for all of the 300,000+ Corporations on
record in the State of Illinois.

You can also lookup individual corporations for free at the Illinois
Secratary of State web site:

I posted a similar question for the D.C. area. Hopefully google1-ga
gets a chance to take a look as well.
