Do you have any particular celebrities in mind? Generally you'll have
to reach them through their agents.

I would imagine that you'd have some difficulty contacting individual
celebrities on your own. They tend to guard their privacy quite
viciously. Unless you know who their agents are, you most likely will
not be able to contact them.

Hi!

Though the previous comment may be true, I'm sure that through some
research you can gather some if not all of the information that you
might need.

A quick search for "celebrity parents" revealed a website by H&R Block
listing a large number of celebrity couples who have children or who
are expecting. Each of the couples is linked to a short bio about them
and their children.

Also, hollywood.com has a celebrity gossip section, and one of the
current stories is Sarah Jessica Parker expecting her baby. This site
has lots of entertainment news and general gossip, too, which may have
more "celebrity baby" stories than just hers.

In general, you may want to look in magazine/general entertainment
websites that have entertainment news/gossip for such stories, too.
Here are a few I found upon doing a quick search on Google:

Hello Magazine
www.hellomagazine.com/2002/03/22/katemoss/

Women.com
www.women.com/entertain/gossip/articles/ 0,12718,270114_427452,00.html

Hope the above helps. I know that it may be difficult to find these
celebrities, at least knowing which ones are in the news is an
important first step. In terms of going about and contacting them,
some of them have websites (if you just search for their name, you're
bound to find them) and fan mailing emails; if that doesn't work, you
should probably look into contacting their agent(s).

The searches I used were:

celebrity parents
://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=celebrity+parents

celebrity parents expecting
://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=celebrity+parents+expecting

celebrity expecting
://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=celebrity+expecting

music superstar expecting

Glad to help,

The appropriate way to contact an actor/celebrity for professional
reasons (such as yours) is to go through their agant/manager. The
Screen Actors' Guild (SAG, one of the 3 professional actors' sister
unions) maintains a list of every member and his/her representation,
and the information is available to anyone. (They will not send you a
complete list, but will provide info on specific actors. There may be
a limit on the number of inquires, I believe 3 per call, but it really
depends on how busy they are and who you get on the line :)

You can reach SAG online at www.sag.org, but the site is under
construction at the moment (it doesn't look like it, but many sections
are not fully functional - like the detailed list of departments.)

You can, however, contact the main switchboard at (323) 954-1600 and
let them know what you're looking for. They'll get you to the right
person!

If SAG does not give you a specific agent/manager's name, be sure to
ask when you call. Most if not all celebrities are with a major
company (like ICM or CAA), but have one agent/manager with whom they
work. You'll need to get to that person's office before you really
get to pitch your idea. (While you're at the main number, get the
assistant's name as well - that will get you a long way! Most
assistants will be agents/mamagers in just a few months, and their
bosses value their opinions more than in some other corporate
environments.)

You'll also want to have a concise pitch. For information on
'pitching', go to http://www.soyouwanna.com/site/syws/tvpitch/tvpitch6.html.
This is written for in person pitches of tv/film ideas, but
translates easily to your purpose.

Good luck!
