Hello -

The figures below represent the price range for the occupations you
listed. The low side of the range is the locally staffed, and the
high side is for traveling technicians.

$40-$70/hour: X-Ray
$45-$70/hour: Cytotechnologist [CT]
$50-$77/hour: MRI
$55-$80/hour: Ultrasound
$60-$80/hour: Nuclear Medicine

This information was pulled from actual temporary medical staffing
agencies.

If you need additional clarification and/or information, please ask
before rating this answer.

Thanks,

CT is an abreviation for cat scan(computed tomography) not cytotech,
but the bulk of the information is exactly what I was looking for. Is
it possible to provide the links to the rate scales that you found?

Hi 511kev-ga,

I actually retrieved this information on the phone through
representatives from the agencies themselves. They weren't readily
enthusiastic about giving the information out in the first place. It
took a little teeth-pulling. :) I apologize for the cytotech mix-up...
I was unfamiliar with the terminology and saw CT as an abbreviation
for "cytotechnologist" on the web.

If you require additional clarification/info, please do not hesitate
to ask.

Since many techs make (on the payroll) $40 per hour, $100 per hour
would not be unusual for a temporary highly skilled in several peices
of equipment such as catscan, MRI, somograms etc. The pay varies
widely from city to city and in rural areas, so an overall average may
not be very meaningful. Sorry I can't make even a guess, if you
average in not very skilled techs with a bad attitude. Neil
