I have inadvertantly done something that causes my space bar to delete
any words or letters that follow the space I am trying to create or
use for other words. When I want to correct a typo or add something
to an already wriiten document I am unable to do so. If I go to the
area that I wish to add or correct something, any typing of letters or
use of the space bar deletes the already typed message instead of
pushing it forward to allow the entry of what I wish to add. I am
unable to locate the correction of this in any of my manuals or on MSN
product support areas. It is probably so simple they thought it not
worthwhile to mention but it has me whipped for 45 minutes.

Hi instanswer-ga,

Luckily, this is a simple thing to fix and I'm going to get straight
to the point. Hit the Insert key on your keyboard and everything will
be back to normal.

Now for the explanation. The Insert key turns Word into something
called "overwrite mode" which lights up the OVR section in the Word
status bar. This supposedly mimics old-style typewriters. Hitting
the Insert key again turns it off and puts your back into normal
"insert mode".

Hope this was a quick and satisfactory answer. If hitting the Insert
key did not help you, please let me know by requesting additional
clarification.

Thanks,
mrbuzz-ga
