Greetings Bunnydog!

Your request was quite a challenge. In my search, I found many names
related to your query. But before we proceed I would like to give you
a brief description of the fungus Trichothecium. It is "a filamentous
mitosporic fungus widely distributed on decaying vegetation and in the
soil. It is commonly considered as a contaminant. Trichothecium causes
pink rot of apples and is a parasite of fleshy fungi. No human or
animal diseases due to Trichothecium have been reported."

Excerpted from Doctor Fungus.org
"Trichothecium spp."

Doctor Fungus.org is owned by the DoctorFungus Corporation and is an
online resource dedicated to timely dissemination of information about
fungal infections. The information is primarily intended for
physicians. Some material in this website has been written with
minimal medical terminology for patients who wish to know more about
their illness. You can read more about the site by clicking on this

So how do you define an expert? Is someone with over 15 years
experience in indoor air quality and mycology and has written 30
authoritative publications qualify as a recognized expert to you? If
so, Dr. Sean P. Abbott is the expert you need. He is the Analytical
Director of a.k.a.MOLDLAB in Sparks, NV. You can find Dr. Abbott's
description and contact info at:
