I need a high-quality sound file of someone blowing a single conch
shell, like in the beginning of a Hawaiian luau. The higher-quality,
the better. I'll need to download it, rather than stream it. Some kind
of sound file library with a variety of sounds of different conch
shells to pick from would be best. Also, I need it as soon as
possible, because the sound is
supposed to go into a song I'm recording for my mother for Christmas.
Have a Merry Christmas... and save mine! Thank you in advance.

Hi! Thanks for the question.

I have found the following sound files of conch shell. Both are in .wav files.
Right click on the link to the file itself to save it into your hard drive.

Do you think you could find the conch that starts a luau? Maybe a
search involving polynesian music or Tahitian music would do it. In a
luau, they start everything off by having a guy run around blowing a
conch shell. Then come the drums and stuff.

Lots of great stuff so far. Thanks!

Hi again. Sorry for the delay. I tried to search extensively for such
a sound and couldn't find any reference for your clarification. It
seems such specific file could not be found. To somewhat make up for
this (I don't know if it will) I found another sound file. It's not
.wav or mp3 though but .aiff. I found it among the Sounds of Pacific
Nations website.

Music Samples of the Pacific Nations

(The Sound File)

I hope you will be able to use any of the files I have submitted for
you this Christmas.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Thanks for the nice rating and for the generous tip! Yes! I would like
to hear it but since we are not permitted to give contact information
in this forum, I cannot give my email address. Maybe if it is
possible, you could put your music in a website or server and just
provide a link here so I could download the tune. :)

Great job. The researcher found me a bunch of great sound files I
needed for a song to be delivered as a gift for my mother for
Christmas. I posted on Christmas Eve and got what I needed the same
day. Easterangel saved my Christmas! PS: Easterangel- my mother loved
the song. She cried her eyes out when she heard it. Thank you. If
you'd like to hear it, I could send you a copy.
