Hello Benedictus -

First off, let me congratulate you for wanting to put forth the best
Santa Claus experience for your children. I assume that you've already
got the wardrobe and disguise set already.

I'm going along the lines of a technique for changing your voice as
opposed to a gadget of some sort.
First of all, there's no tried and true method of changing your voice.
It takes years of practice to convincingly change your voice. (As a
hobby impressionist it took me nearly two years to master the Sean
Connery technique, but sometimes it slips and turns in to Jimmy
Stewart)

Since this is Christmas Eve and you obviously don't have a few years,
here's my quick tip for what it's worth -

Tongue control: It's amazing how much vocal inflection is dependant on
how you use your tongue to form words. Keeping your tongue towards the
roof of your mouth as you speak gives a nasally quality. Conversely,
holding your tongue towards the bottom of your mouth gives a more
booming authoritative sound. For the Santa impression, that's what I
would recommend.

Normally when we talk, our tongues just sit around in the middle of
our mouths. Practice for a little keeping the tip of your tongue
behind your bottom teeth. You'll need to move it up and to the lips
from time to time to form certain sounds, but overall, keeping it
towards the bottom should help a bit.

Good luck!
