Looking for info on Cunard Line steamship Usonia. I believe my grandfather came to U.S. from Wales and landed in Boston 1921 or 1922. Name was Eli R. Linham. | |

I didn't find anything on your grandfather given the limited information you provided, but it should be noted that the Ellis Island database (yes, I know it's not Boston but it was worth a shot) http://www.ellisisland.org/ lists these arrivals: 1. Cathrine Linham Treconby, Wales 1923 38 2. Irene Maude Linham Treconby, Wales 1923 10 3. John Linham 1894 36 4. Lillian Linham 1894 40 5. Redvers Linham 1920 18 6. Stanley V. Linham Treconby, Wales 1923 4 http://www.ellisisland.org/search/matchMore.asp?LNM=LINHAM&PLNM=LINHAM&kind=exact&offset=0&dwpdone=1 You might focus search on these people and discover much more than you anticipated. Thanks for the info on Boston. I'll follow up on that. With regard to Ellis Island, Catherine was my grandmother, Irene is my aunt and Stanley was my father. they came over a year after my grandfather Eli and aunt Edna Mae who came in through Boston together. My Aunt Irene gave me the Cunard Line and ship name of Usonia. Can't locate any info on that ship. Steve |
