There was a commercial that aired for several weeks about 3-6 months
ago. I don't remember the brand being advertised or anything in
particular about the commercial, but I do remember the song that
played in the background. Part of the lyrics were "I said I'm cool,
I'm calm, it's going to be okay." It was a female singing. I wish I
had more info to give but I need to know what is the name of the
artist and the song/album title?

Hello.

I believe that the song you're looking for is "I Love Myself Today" by
Bif Naked.

See the lyrics, including the lines you mention, on the web page
azlyrics.com:
"I love myself today
Not like yesterday
I'm cool, I'm calm
I'm gonna be okay!"
http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/bifnaked/ilovemyselftoday.html

As noted in an October 2002 press release, "I Love Myself Today" has
been featured recently in an ad campaign for General Motors' 2003
models.

Bif Naked's album "Purge" includes the song "I Love Myself Today."

The album is available from retailers such as Amazon.com:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00006IK2B/
Or Towerrecords.com
http://www.towerrecords.com/product.asp?pfid=2715589&cc=USD

search strategy: "i'm cool i'm calm"

I hope this helps.

I should also note that the Amazon.com page mentioned above includes a
brief audio clip of the song.
