hi , Sony now provides software to get the data using the USB port of the computer. So you can connect the IP-7 through the USB. The data can be captured using iLink/Firewire but the data/minute is large so you might need software to compress it. For that matter you might need software provided by sony.. hey, I too have a sony camer, but an older minidv camera. Both work the same in basic ways. The way that I tend to use the camera as a webcam is to take snapshots when you need it. The camera will turn off if it is left on for a long time, so prolonged use of the camera as a webcam wont really work. |
