Hi,

For the fast answer, there are few things that will get a doll house
site banned from Google, so one of the obvious one is Web Position
Gold. If you are using that stop and write to help@google.com, explain
that you didn't know and you won't use it again, and they will
probably get you reinstated on the index.

There is a part of the month that SEO's like to call the Google Dance,
where things happen on the index and a "re-sorting" occurs. During
that time all kinds of strange things happen to listings and Page
Ranks. This may have happened to you as well, again write to
help@google.com, explain the problem and you might see the site back
on the index soon. Remember that they are rather busy so don't expect
instant results, but they do read and respond to such requests.

Things you could do to make your site more stable during a Google
Dance is to add a robots.txt file to your site, quit using a doorway
page and frames. You can read about this here. :

Thanks for the answer. If though this is an actual ban, and not a temp
result of the google dance, or propagation through all the servers, (I
don't use Web Position Gold) then after tidying up my pages (which I
am doing now) how do I quickly get back in the index?

write to help@google.com and explain the index problem and that you
are no longer listed, and they will fix the problem for you.

Thanks,
