This is a tv show I watched with my daughter around 1995-97. The setting was a Louisiana bayou, and it was quite entertaining. One character was named "Chicken Mama" (married to a fox?) and there was also a talking egg (with a name like Aristotle or Einstein) and a gator and a bookworm. The show was on cable - probably The Learning Channel. Can you please find the name of this show for me? I thought it was "Chicken Bayou" or "Chicken Gumbo" or something like that, but I have had NO luck tracking it down! Thanks! |

Hello. Your show was called "Chicken Minute." As you describe, the series was set in the Bayou and included a chicken, a fox and a number of other animal puppets. The show billed itself as a "Live-Action Romp in the Swamp." The chicken and the fox are featured on the cover of a "Chicken Minute" video. The image is hosted by half.com: http://art.half.ebay.com/prod/1381821.jpeg Half.com currently lists a number of videos from the show: Chicken Minute - Coop De Ville The animals around the bayou gather for some musical good times. The show was produced by Desclez Productions. Source: atelierdesgriffons.com http://www.atelierdesgriffons.com/htm/biographieEn.htm search strategy: children's videos, chicken I hope this helps. |

Thank you! I was stunned to receive an answer so quickly. I should have submitted this question two days ago when I first started obsessing about it - I could have saved myself a lot of frustration. I'll know next time! |
