Dear r2:

Thank you for your question. Most of the conventions and trade shows I
have found catered to travel industry in general, or otherwise they
were part of a (usually foreign) university's travel abroad fair. I
have filtered down my results to include only those trade shows and
conventions from the travel industry that cater exclusively to
adventurer and student interests taking place in the United States.
Here's what I've found:

The Student Youth Travel Association of North America operates an
annual convention. The next meeting takes place in September in San
Jose, CA. More information is available on their website below:
http://www.syta.com/syta/conference/futureconventioninfo.htm

WorldStrides a conglomeration of six travel agencies specializing in
student travel. They are present at conventions around the nation
periodically throughout the year. The dates vary by location. You can
find the dates and locations as well as more information at the
WorldStrides page below:
http://63.136.86.35/conventions/2002conventions.asp

IATOS operates an annual adventure trade show. The last show was in
February, unforntunately, so you will have to wait until next year to
attend. It was located in Chicago last year. Here is their convention
site:
http://www.adventuretravelshow.com/public/index_public.htm

There is also a "Travel and Adventure Show" coming up in the Denver,
Colorado area. You can find more information on the site linked below.
However, contact information will require a free registration:

That's all I was able to come up with after an extensive search. I
hope these are enough to satisfy you needs. As always, if you need any
clarifications at all, please don't hesitate to ask. I would be more
than happy to assist you further.

Best Regards,
blader-ga

To my disappointment, quite a few of the more than 6000 listings
available online were woefully outdated, some listing events for as
far back as 1995! Still other links pointed to databases that were no
longer in service (ExpoGuide.com, for instance), and even more pointed
to shows just past (in February and Mark of this year). I've done my
best to weed those out and give you a useful list of future shows and
show listings, but the pickings are awfully slim.

Fox World Travel offers a searchable list of upcoming Travel Shows.
At the moment, there is only one show listed, for two days hence, but
they do update the list monthly:

Tourcos Tours of Minnesota:

A up to date, searchable listing of all Trade Shows in the US can be
found at TSNN.com. For Industry, select Travel and Tourism, and
select United States for country. You can narrow your search by date,
state or city:

Though I spent three hours sifting through pages in search of useful,
current information for you, I cannot, in good conscience, expect this
meager information to suffice for the price you've bid. I hope what I
have managed to find is helpful. Perhaps someone else will have
better luck locating more lists for you.
