It existed in the 1970s. The last director or President that I know was Dr. Vladimir Kozak. Any information would be appreciated. | |

I've found two very brief references online to the "American Slavic Institute of New York" in connection with Dr. Vladimir Kozak. Perhaps the library of a University which has a department of Slavic Studies might be helpful in finding details about the organization. |

I have made long urls into "tinyurls" to reduce the possibility of any errors. There was a gentleman who posted a request on newsgroups, searching for Dr. Kozak back in 1997, you may want to contact him to see if he was successful, and perhaps that will be a lead: http://tinyurl.com/3zr6 I found a reference to the Institute as the "American Slavic Institute of New York", so I did a search for "American Slavic Institute". Here is a link to the American Slavic Institute in Saint Paul, MN... they may be able to provide you with some contacts: http://www.gy.com/biz/561421/612.htm |
