I have found the book but it's in French. Only the introduction is
translated into English. The title of the book is "Un Siècle
d'échantillons Guerlain", by Michele Atlas and Alain Monniot.

Is this the book you are looking for and would a French version be
considered as a legitimate answer?

Just let me know. :)

I think I've found the book in question. It was written in 1997 and
has the same title you cited. I've sent an e-mail to the seller to
determine if the book is still available and to see if it's in
English. I'll keep you posted.

Hi barrycn-ga,

Thanks for your question. You don't mention whether or not you want to
buy the book or merely read it, so I'll give you information for both.

The complete information for the book you're looking for is as
follows:

"Guerlain: Perfume Bottles Since 1828," by Michele Atlas and Alain
Monnot. Toulouse: Editions Milan, 1997 ISBN: 2841136507

Unfortunately, this is a rather rare book. Only two libraries appear
to have holdings for it, so obtaining it via Interlibrary loan may
prove difficult.

The French version is:

"Guerlain: les flacons a parfum depuis 1828," by Michele Atlas and
Alain Monnot. Toulouse: Editions Milan, 1997 ISBN: 2841135640;
2841135644

There are six libraries that hold this title, three of them are in
Europe. Again, this may make it difficult for you to obtain via
Interlibrary loan. If you wanted to proceed with such an option, you
would need to contact a library with which you are affiliated (e.g. a
university library or a public library). There may or may not be a fee
associated with that.

I have found one version of the English edition for a price of $80.00
online thru alibris.com.

http://www.alibris.com/search/detail.cfm?chunk=25&qauth=Atlas%20Mich%E8le&qtit=Guerlain&S=R&bid=8111385771&pqtynew=&page=1&matches=1&qsort=r

It's a little tricky to locate in their holdings so the simplest way
to pull up the listing is to go to:

http://www.alibris.com/

On the left hand corner of your screen, you should see the search box,
below that click "more search options." Once there, enter in the box
marked alibris ID#, the following number: 8111385771

I emailed the seller and asked him to confirm the title and that this
was the English version. His reply:
From : =?iso-8859-1?Q?Versandbuchhandlung_Kurt_G=F6tz_\=28Bestellung\=29?=
<bestellung@goetzbuch.de> :
"yes it is the book you are looking for and it is in
english. Best regards, Kurt Götz"

Unfortunately, I have not be able to find additional copies elsewhere.
This appears to be a difficult title to track down, as you're no doubt
aware.

In case you are also interested in the book easterangel-ga suggested,
I located at least two copies for sale. Amazon.ca has it for a price
of $95.20 Canadian

http://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/ASIN/2841131815/701-9884786-2843549

And the same seller at alibris.com has it for $69.99
http://www.alibris.com/search/detail.cfm?bookbin=8111386378&chunk=25&S=R&bid=8111386378&pqtynew=&page=1&matches=1&qsort=r

Search strategy:
Worldcat (database of library catalog holdings)
alibris.com: keyword search "guerlain"
Also searched Amazon.com (and its various international stores);
Barnes and Noble (http://www.bn.com) and abebooks
(http://www.abebooks.com)
Google search:
Guerlain atlas monniot

I hope this answers your question. If you need additional information
or if the links do not work, please ask for clarification before
rating my answer and I'll do my best to assist you.

luciaphile-ga

Hi barrycn-ga,

This link should take you to the record in alibris:

http://www.alibris.com/search/detail.cfm?chunk=25&qauth=Atlas%20Mich%E8le&qtit=Guerlain&S=R&bid=8111385771&pqtynew=&page=1&matches=1&qsort=r

If that doesn't work, go to this link:
http://www.alibris.com/search/search.cfm?S=R

In the box marked Alibris ID, type: 8111385771

Either method should bring up the book. IF that doesn't work or if
that's not the problem, ask for further clarification and I'll do my
best to help you.

Regards,
luciaphile-ga
