I have an adult son diagnosed with a pervasive developmental delay. A
doctor has verified that he needs a live-in companion. My son receives
SSI,Medicaid, and has a Section 8 voucher that allows a companion to
live with him. I would like you to research for me: Does SSI, or,
Medicaid pay a live-in companion wages? Who do we contact to apply
for this benefit?

It would be very helpful to know where you live; Medicaid guidelines
vary greatly from state to state.
