George Eliot's "Middlemarch" was filmed in the UK in 1994. The film
was shown in the United States as part of PBS's "Masterpiece Theatre."
As far as I can determine, this is the only filmed version of the
novel.

I highly recommend this beautiful adaptation of the novel. It is
richly textured, faithful to most plot details, and features an
extraordinary cast of British actors, including the wonderful Robert
Hardy (previously in "All Creatures Great and Small") and Patrick
Malahide, best known for playing Ngaio Marsh's Inspector Alleyn in a
celebrated television series.
My search strategy included a visit to the Internet Movie Database and
a Google search using the keywords "Middlemarch," "film," and
"reviews."
I hope this information is useful. If any of the links do not
function, or if further assistance is needed, please request
clarification before rating my answer.
