I have found a page showing the total 802.11b sales in 2000... perhaps
you have seen this. All other results of my searches show a lot of
predictions, which differ with each source. The info you seek may be
hidden behind a paid research report from those market research
companies. Else, the 2002 figure is not available for public
knowledge.

Haven't seen it, but my assumption was that 2002 was significantly
higher than 2001 (and 2000). Would be happy with a list of the analyst
predictions. (Do they break out access points from cards? I am
interested in APs, rather than cards, but if its a lump sum, I'll take
it.)

Thanks,

-clay

I think my research will come up short, since I got figures on
shipments of the first three quarters of 2002, rather than sales.

"Worldwide, consumers will buy 7.3 million wireless LAN nodes -- which
include client and network hub devices -- in 2002, up from about 4
million last year", said Gemma Paulo, an analyst at In-Stat.
